Summer Reading Program 2011

Every summer the Southfield Library participates in the Summer Reading Program provided by the Michigan Library Association (MLA). Each summer has a theme for all age groups and this year’s theme is travel: One World, Many Stories (Youth); You Are Here (Teen); Book A Trip (Adult). MLA gives all participating libraries packaged graphics and suggested programs to host for summer fun @ your library. With this, SPL customize our summer programs and advertising to fit our patrons’ wants and needs.

I rendered this vector graphic, using a sketch that my co-work drew, for the Adults Summer Reading logo.

Youth Program Brochure

Using elements found in the youth library, I illustrated the youth programming brochure to reflect and celebrate the newly renovated facilities. The winter/spring brochure represents both seasons along with favorite and memorable sections of the youth library.
